I took the add down for my 350U LP. Moving in w/ new wife and heart attack have left me little time to work w/ it, but finally getting to clean some stuff up.
Finally got the fill cap for the hydraulics loose. Took a 3/4" breaker bar on a GOOD close-fitting socket to do it. Heat and break-free and tapping had not succeeded in 2 months.
Hydraulics filled and working, tho there is a leak somewhere around the control valve. May be a hose.
Starter relay died while diagnosing hydraulics, so trip to Autozone fixed that.
Polarized the genny, and it appears to be charging. There appears to be a short somewhere. Turning ignition key on causes a -30 amp drain. Once running, we go back to a more or less 0 state on ammeter. Wiring & insulation in horrible state, so I'm going to dive into that and replace everything.
Question: Could that be ignition system with the points closed taking that much juice?
Still leaking oil around inspection plate on left side of engine. Gasket and possible blocked oil return issues there, I'm guessing.
2 cracks in exhaust manifold. Have a line on someone who can patch that for me.
Lights appear to all be intact, but the wiring is totally shot. I may just buy the harness for them once I get the fluids and charging sorted out. I DO love this tractor: It is a beast.
