I need some advice on tractor and bushhogs. Am going to have to cut some 40 acres including some fairly steep hills on a regular basis. The property is largely fields that are overgrown, but most will have been cut at least once during the last season so most of the big stuff will have been knocked down. What I'm wondering is what size Farmall and type of bushhog might be best suited? A wide front end might be a good idea for the hills but how much Hp? Something the size of a 300 and a 7ft hog? Is it practical to try and use an older tractor like an H or an M? (Restoration or repairs aren't a problem). Have heard a few opinions but would like to hear a few more. Thanks.
