Hello,
I have a couple questions about my H. It is a 1946 model and I use her to maintain about 3 acres. It has the old style pipe style seat with a spring mounted to the pipe between your feet as you ride. This spring is totally worn out so I have no suspension as I ride. I noticed these are 50 dollars to purchase which is possible but pricey. I also noticed the design style changed on the models following mine. Is this a flawed design? Will replacing the spring fix this issue? I am a big guy 6 2" 280. Will this spring support me? Since this tractor is a worker could I possible use a suspension spring off a motorcycle part or something else? Does anyone have the specs for this spring so I might buy a less expensive one somewhere local?
My second question has to do with the temperature guage. I have a guage off a cub and the bushing is much smaller than my H. I want to use it as a replacement on my h but in order to do that I will have to dissasemble my non working guage to get the bushing I need off. Is it possible to dissasemble and reassemble the temperature gauge?

At one time I had seven restored examples which were shown and used in ploughing matches. As most restorers, I have a number of war stories I can relate on a range of topics that may help other like minded and interested people. Perhaps my first p
