That sandblasting rig was probably the world's largest one-man portable rig ever built. It was way out of OSHA specs running 750 CFM at 120 PSI. I didn't give a damn because I had no employees. I did thousands of those tanks on those turning rolls. They averaged around 35 minutes each. When you work by the square foot, the money comes fast and furious. The truck had an air winch for rotating the tanks. Also had a 45' man-lift, 50hp pressure washer driven from the DT466 crankshaft, a smaller air driven pressure washer., high capacity airless paint setup that could spray coal-tar if need be, and room for my motorcycle that was loaded with the man-lift The big trailer mounted dust collector was rented. Everything was bought new. The environmental regs eventually shut me down. I was in business for 30 years. Long enough. Those 10 degree mid-winter days really got to me after awhile.
