It sounds like an $800 tractor, maybe less. If it is known to have a switched engine I am guessing it was a gasser. The serial plate should have SMD or SMDL on it. That would be the tell all.
For the casting codes to match you would need a Z for 54 or a Y for 53. I'm guessing no... If it has a Z code the engine is probably worth quite a bit just for the casting code. SMDTAs are hot right now and a lot of them are being bought as junk just for the serial number.
