The Direct clutch is hydraulically driven using Oil pressure from the MCV pump. This pump can become worn, the filter can become plugged, or it can have an air leak into it from bad hardened Oring in the intake side of the pump, or the system can have pressure issues with the MCV valve, or other MCV system components. I would state that the way it is will destroy the TA and possible other components if allowed to stay broken. Over filling the Hydraulic system by 5 gallons cures many with a Oring leak. If this makes no difference, further analysis with gauges and adapters and the manual for hydraulic control systems is needed. Jim
