There are a couple of forums dedicated to the IHC trucks, OLDIHC is one of them.
While I am not a big fan of converting old tractors to 12v, I have no issues doing that. However, on these old trucks, you will have a bit of a bigger challengs doing it. All the lighting needs to have the 6v bulbs changed out to 12v. Then you have the dash lighting. Then, if it has one of the old heaters, that will need to be modified. Then the ignition, and on and on.
If there was one time I would argue against changing to 12v, it would be on one of these old trucks. It can be done, but you have your work ahead of you to do so. I believe that Binder Books has a number of manuals available for this as well.
I am in the progress of doing lots of research as I just bought a 1949 KB-5, and there are resources out there, you just need to do a little homework on the net......
