They look very nice, congratulations to you and your friend. I do not know how to value things like that, usually when I sell instruments I decide the price based on how long it takes me to build them plus what the materials cost. For instance I have sold four banjos in the past couple of years, the materials cost about $300,(that hardware is expensive, the wood is only about $10) the first one I sold for $500 and the rest for $600, which comes out to about $10-15 an hour depending how efficiently I work. It is not a way to get rich, but I really enjoy it. Best of luck with the violins, I will be interested to hear how they turn out and what you decide to do with them.
