Hey guys,
I bought my gauges back in late Febuary of this year from O.E.M maufacturing For My 53 Super M.I believe I installed them in April, replacing my aftermarket Mallory gauges that lasted several years!!!!(They were the old ones out of my race car and worked great !!!.) The new O.E.M temp gauge has always looked like it reads low to me,Kinda hard to tell because now it just has a "range" now of cold/run/hot and stays to the higher side of the "cold ALL THE TIME !!!! During ALL of summer! The old Mallory gauge read correctly. It might have made it to 190 degrees on a few hot days?
And as of this weekend,The oil pressure gauge stays in the top end of the high side of the gauge ALL THE time while running, when you shut it off,it does zero out again.Iknow for a fact my engine was always at 50 psi cold on the old gauge and that was the highest it would EVER get!!!(It would drop back to 30 psi after warmed up and at idle.It holds good oil pressure.)
Has anybody else had any kind of luck out of thier O.E.M gauges ????

At one time I had seven restored examples which were shown and used in ploughing matches. As most restorers, I have a number of war stories I can relate on a range of topics that may help other like minded and interested people. Perhaps my first p
