IMO you can run hytran in a letter series. Someguys say you can/should only run it in the TA tractors. They didn't change a darn thing from the SM to the SMTA with the exception of the TA. So why can I run it in the SMTA and not the SM??? Also, pull apart the rear end of your (former) 400 and a SMTA. There are a ton of parts in there that will interchange. Nobody has ever given a reason on the forum, with the exception of "you only run hytran in TA tractors." I have never seen a reason to back it up. ie oil shear, viscosity problems, what bearing will fail first due to lack of lube, etc
