I need to clean years and years of grease, oil, dust, birds nests and what have you off my 53 super c. I would consider this average accumulation for say 10 years of average use. Before i break my arm trying to scrape all the grime off the entire tractor, I would like assistance in determining if power washing with degreaser, steam cleaning, or elbow grease would be in my best interest.
If the first two options are acceptable, do i/should i remove any electrical components. I already have the battery removed, should I take off the generator and starter? How should i clean those? I am planning on doing an entire electrical overhaul (wire harness replacement) eventually.
Additionally, if steam cleaning is appropriate and safe, does anyone have hints, tips, and tricks on where to find the right type of cleaner, most likely to rent. (all the internet gets me is rug dr.)
