Hello All. I am new to the world of antique tractors, but have married into a farming family. This past weekend my father-in-law bought what appears to be a very nice 1948 Farmall Super C at an auction (and hopefully he will let me work on it with him...) Anyway, the serial number shows that this tractor is a C, but there was some disagreement about that since there were some modifications to the lights, steering wheel, brakes, and decals. The seller was not present to explain what was done to the tractor, but some other bidders had heard that a C was often overhauled and bored, then called a "Super C". Can anyone provide insight on this? Also, we are planning a detailed restoration of this tractor and are looking for information/ pictures showing what is was like from the factory . Also parts (used, NOS, or new). Thanks in advance for the information!
