the top of the block will have a machined recess that will match the top of the sleeve. make sure the recess is clean. also, set the sleeve in the recess upside down first and measure how deep it goes in the recess. a feeler gauge will give an approximate. sometimes there is too much meat at the top of the sleeve and machining will need to be done before sleeves are installed. i use either kerosene or diesel fuel to lubricate the cylinder bore when installing sleeves. put the sleeves in the freezer overnite. a big block of wood and a heavy hammer can be helpful to get the sleeves in.
