You'll need a 6V pos regulator. Your coil probably has a resistor on it to drop from 12 to 6 volts....if so, simply remove it. If you don't know, just replace it with one from your local Case IH dealer..they will sell you the right on for about $20. Generators are available from Walt's on this site. Depending on how the alternator was mounted, you may need some mounting hardware. If your lights work, you may have to go back to 6V lamps. The ammeter and starter work just as well 12 or 6 volt. Make sure you ground positive and re-polorize your regulator (touch a wire from the generator pole to the battery pole briefly)...I forgot to do that when I changed my regulator and the tractor will not work if you don't. That about covers it...Binder
