The wiring included below will give you a diagram for an A,B, or C. YOu do need to determine if it is 12 volt, but it is probably 6 positive ground as you indicate. The voltage will not make a difference, the only difference in the diagrams will be the inclusion of a starter relay (if yours has one) but the gen will wire the same. First is from the a terminal on the gen to the voltage reg Arm terminal on regulator (10ga wire), then from the F terminal on the gen to the Fld terminal on the reg (12ga wire), then from the gen bat term to the amp gauge load side (10ga), then to the starter switch (10ga). Vr and gen need perfect metal grounds to work.
