Hi John, it is probably the front oil seal on the injection pump drive shaft. If you were able to remove the pump and re-install it when you had it overhauled then you should be able to replace the front oil seal. Tools required are a seal puller and a deep socket that will fit over the drive shaft and some seal lube. Becareful not to nick the shaft or the new seal on the woodruff key in the shaft. Lube the shaft well before installing the new seal and use the deep socket to seat the seal. Make sure seal goes in straight and seats properly.
I believe the part number is: 3078355R2 SEAL SEAL oil drive shaft BUT verify with CIH parts person. I searched a CIH dealer in upstate NY in stock for $10.52.
This seal wears out more frequently now with the new low sulfur Diesel fuel. So to prevent premature failure add some Diesel fuel conditioner in the Diesel tank.
