Ok I know that the C's started with the 48 model year. I just aquired an early 48 C will all November of 1947 "Q" date codes. The pto had a 1954 "X" date code. Obviously that had been replaced. The only R code I could find was on the touch control and it was March of 48. I suspect that is not the original as it is 5 months later that the rest of the date codes. The fast hitch is off of a 1953 Super C complete with the 6 digit serial # still on the tool box. The original seat was found in the scrap pile and it still has the serial # plate on it. I believe it is the correct seat as the serial # on the motor and seat are 13#'s apart. The only thing I couldn't find in the archive is the "USRC" cast into the front left corner of the operators platform just before the part #. Any body have any idea what that's about?
