Either power, or manual steering has the primary guts of the system in the bolster. Both have a ball worm and rack that is engaged to the main pivot shaft (bolts to lower bolster with the wheels on a narrow front). If there is lost motion in that assembly you will need to find a good replacement (possibly including the main shaft. Shopping for a complete bolster that is good might be easier in the long run, and shipping would be the only reason to avoid that option. Jim
