Sorry to keep pestering everybody with questions but here are a few more. I just want to do this right the first time.
1) On my Starting Valve Shaft (256 102 R93) that is on the rocker arm assembly, the duck bill lever on it that acuates the whole shaft was broken and a not so good job welding it back together. On 2 others I have looked at, it was welded up on those also. Is this common with these? Should I grind mine down and get it welded up better or is their by some chance one out their somewhere that is not broken?
2) This MD did not have any type of upper radiator support on it. The parts book says I need a Radiator Tie Rod (69 230 D) not the "U" shaped radiator brace (52 707 DB). Where does this tie rod attach to on each end? I looked in the owners & service manuals but cannot find any pictures of where it goes.
3) Is their any place to get copper or brass Per Cup Gaskets? The only ones I can get from I-H are made of steel and don't seem to seal very well.
