It's easy enough to follow the hoses back to the valves. On a 660, and probably the same is true on a 460, the valves are easy to see and access. The same can't be said for a 400 that uses the same valves.
I think you will find that the left hand valve goes to the rear remotes. If there are three valves, the middle should go to left remotes and the right valve should go to the right remotes.
Some valves don't have single or double selectors. If yours do, clockwise, while looking at end of valve, is single. Counter-clockwise is double. "D" and "S" are stamped or cast into the cast iron end plate of valve.
