I have a question about a loose sleeve in a farmall super M. Long story short, I should have just got new gaskets and rings for the tractor. Too late now!
#2 sleeve is loose, original one was not loose but pulled out very easy. Now the new one moves with the piston. What should I do? I am not getting a custom sleeve made! Do I smear the goop (Loctite or permatex or JB weld) along the entire sleeve or a little around the top portion?
Then I hear stories about the plastic (permatex or loctite) having cooling issues? This is a farm tractor not a show tractor or a pulling tractor!
