Neal in Alabama said: (quoted from post at 22:01:03 01/20/10) I"m needing a head for my tractor. A friend has one for a good price but I have a question. My tractor didn"t have a head when I bought it. I have most everything else. When I was going thru my parts I noticed the valve cover had the holes(6) for the priming cups. My old Parts List shows the primimg cups close to the manifold. Is there a difference in the head with the priming cups going thru the valve cover than the head that doesn"t? Would it be asking a lot for the correct part number?
Thanks, Neal
if your tractor is above 52271 you need 523dex. this has priming cups through valve cover. 523dbx has priming cups on the outside. they are for earlier tractors with round governor box. hope this helps. not sure if they will enterchange. Steve
