Two degrees isn't very much but you'll have to decide whether it is close enough to suit you. You could give it a couple degrees of advance at low idle. That may make it harder to turn over when starting.
The IH manuals says the the engine should be timed at high idle so the timing is correct at full advance. That way any discrepancy in total advance will occur at low idle rather than at full load.
