I've another question for you on this board, which I think is great (and fun too sometimes) and found many answers to the point and extremely helpful. I just removed the head of my '48 Super A, which I am restoring, and also removed an inlet and an outlet valve. Both have approx. 0.005 inch play on the stems and look pretty good. Should they be replaced or only reground? To my surprise I didn't find any seals on the valve stems. The valve guides however look like separate parts, inserted into the cast head. Can these be replaced, and, if so, how do you get them out?
