This is part two. Thanks for the tips by the way. OK so I hit a hedge post set in concrete a glancing blow with the right front tire on a wide front end 706.
Oil went to spewing out on the left side. Several suggested blown o rings, cracked head on the PS piston, taking the left frame rail off to fix it. ( I was really dreading that as the loader was on it.)
Anyway I was entitled to a little good luck. On the two lines that run along the frame rail, one had worn a thin spot and it ruptured in that thin area. I'll bet that by rupturing there, it might have protected something more expensive and hard to fix.
Other part of the good luck, dealership has the line in stock. Try going to Ford or Chevy and them having a 40+ year old part in stock. course cars were never meant to last that long.
Anyway, I just about have it whipped, pick up the part tomorrow.
