Hi JD, I would check the parking brake. The most common problem with this model of tractor is the parking brake warning light on the dash burns out and someone drives it with the parking brake on. This grinds up the parking brake band in the differential area and all the bits get in the hydraulic oil and clog up the hydraulic filter. Depending on level of contamination, the problem can be fixed by changing hydraulic filter 3 or 4 times. Worst case is draining and purging complete hydraulic system and cleaning MCV valves. The D239 German Diesel engine is very reliable and lasts a long time if properly maintained.
Check the hydraulic fluid level, parking brake and left and right brakes for being spongy.
