A friend wants me to buy his 544 gasoline model. It is very clean and he is the second owner. It has the hydromatic transmission, power steering and two hydraulic systems. Any ideas on what I ought to pay for this one? I have sixty acres of irrigated land broken into five tillable pastures. Mostly sandy clay with lots of stones. Northern New Mexico, potatoes, beans, alfalfa and small garins seem to do well. We flood irrigate through a ditch system. Anyway, this little tractor seems to do well here for all but the chisel ripping jobs. The long time farmers call it "Cheese-All". Any thoughts on price and power (55hp) are appreciated.
