Hey guys, New to the forum. I currently have a JD 2010 that I think I'm going to shoot and bury in the back field. So I'm in the market for a "new" tractor. Years ago I swore my allegiance to JD, but I'm starting to consider a red tractor because it seems like maybe you get more for your money. I really want(ed) a JD 3020, but no one is giving those away these days. So a local dealer has got a Farmall 706 for sale that has peaked my interest. I need a tractor for plowing snow, brush-hogging, hoping to add a loader later, etc.
I guess my question boils down to are there any IH tractors that are problematic (like the JD 2010) that I should stay away from?
Also, is anyone familiar with the 706? Any typical problems / things to watch out for?
