I just bought a 1960 240 Utility and the wiring was shot. I ma right now making a new wireharness and hope by next week to have her back and running.
When I got the tractor it was converted over to a 12V postive ground. Becuase of the bad wiring my postive cable was shorting at the battery. I am thinking of going over to a 12V neage ground.
I did receive this link so this is going to help me out. http://www.ytmag.com/articles/artint131.htm
When I tore down the tractor there was no votage regular in the mix. I am a little confused on how I make this harness work for me. I want to elimate the shorting out. I see how the regulator as 1 12V feed into it but it splits off to 3 different systems.
Also does anyone have a picture of were the voltage regultor attaches to the tractor? I am thinking of install a splitter there to take that one wire feed and split it into 3.
