JimB2 - need to get into trans to see if bearing or gear tooth broken. Have a knock that I feel in the seat of my pants. Have narrowed it down to tranny. Just wondering if can split either location or have to work from bell housing back. IH2444 mentioned access door but it does not answer if a spline/yoke is in tranny side or if it is a solid shaft from trans to flywheel. Will be finding out it looks like by starting from engine and working back. Lot more work that way but do not want to tear anything up trying a short cut. If find it could have been done at tranny case I'll mumble some strong words and keep on gett'n on.
