Super C 12volt?

I just bought a 1953 Super C that has been converted to 12volt.It starts right off and runs great.My question is that I would like to restore it and maybe enter it at the local fair or parades, Will leaving it 12v hurt its value.It runs so well I almost hate to mess with it. Will it cost a bunch to convert it back to 6v.Just wondering. I'm new at this. Thanks, Paul Shuler Springfield MO
