90 lbs on all cylinders give or take a couple. The engine will throw a puff of smoke at start-up but seem to be OK after that. I pulled the valve cover and it was alot cleaner than i would expect for the age of the tractor. It is my understanding from the archives that the compression should be around 130 lbs.If i need to get into the engine i guess i want to do it right. I am going through this thing pretty well as i know it has not been taken care of as it should. Not a trailer queen but a good looking functional tractor(mostly mowing with woods belly-mower).
The tractor runs fine but if i am going to throw a bunch of time and effort into it only to have to tear into the engine a couple years from now i wont be pleased. Any thoughts?
