Simple, or complex. It depends on thie following action. Go to the tractor with a measuring tape, or ruler. with your hand, push in on the clutch pedal until it changes its feel to be much harder to push. (from easy to hard) When it is at that spot, measure between the casting of the top of the trans (platform) and the spot on the pedal that touches the platform when the clutch is not being pushed. It should measure 1 to 1-1/4 inches. This is freeplay, and is necessary to keep the fingers off of the throwout bearing when the clutch is not pushed. Adjust the length of the rod connecting the pedal to the arm on the housing to make this measurement correct. If it is correct, the tractor will need to be split to repair the clutch Pressure plate (by replacing it) it may have cracks or warpage that prevents proper disengagement. Good luck, it is probable that the adjustment will do the trick. Heat the turnbuckle if it is frozen, they do get rusty. JimN
