Hi again K.B. I realize I have stated this Duetz thing all wrong. What my mechanic meant is that they make the components of these engines, not that they are a Deutz engines at all. They are an IH and it makes no difference who they might contract with to make parts for them. The reason we were talking about this is I have a 584 and a 684, plus the 756. All have a lot of hours on the original sleeves and pistons, he said that was normal because deutz made them and they make the sleeves and rings harder than anyone else. If he is right or not I don't know, but by rereading my posts I apologize that I made It sound like they were anything but an IH engine. Glad you have set it straight. Good luck, Chuck
