Gerry: It is a dry clutch. Not sure I totally follow you, to wit: "it was stored in gear, but will not go into gear." From that, someone would assume it is in gear right now, unless you snatched it out of gear. Regardless, probably the clutch disc is stuck to the flywheel. Try (with the switch off) rolling the engine a little - by the hand crank, or the fan belt. Or, roll the tractor. Then, try to engage a gear. Keep rolling until you hit a "sweet spot" and it will slide into gear. THEN, BE READY!!! 'Cause once you start it, it is going to take off in whatever gear it is in, regardless of whether the clutch pedal is in or out. Hang on!!! Get out in a big field or parking lot before you do this. Rev it up, chop the throttle - fast. Repeat. Keep straining the clutch until it breaks loose from the flywheel. Once it breaks loose, it will probably be fine. Besides.... having been owned by a Convent, you know that tractor is "blessed". And God wants you to take care of it!!!! Bless you, my boy. All eyes are upon you, my son. Do not let us down. Keep the faith. "Father Farmall"
