lonny, I imagine you have purchased all the 'stuff' needed for the job, but if you haven't, I can tell you that my Farmall 340 is still original six volts and spins over and starts very easily. The battery cables are heavy-duty and this is needed for less resistance, but I'm sure you know that. I just likem' like they came from IH originally - just my opinion. Good luck on your project.
