Well that was quick, SOme of them have had their guts taken out to use the system as a resevoir. If only one hose is connected as you indicated, the system probably needs to be taken apart and diagnosed, They are simple, Review material in the archives here for belly pump removal (they are heavy and need a floor jack to handle them well) The only last gasp of possible is if the rod/lever is not attached or set to turn the control valve on the inside of the pump. It has a serrated coupling some one may have put on wrong, other than that, it means pulling it out to fix it. They are for the most part extremely fixable, and almost never fail unless run dry, or run with dirty oil. Good luck JimN
