I don't have much to add other than I got a 560D that had been sitting outside 13 years (Colorado climate) and got it running after replacing fluids, etc. Had to tow it to get it going the first time. The 282 likes glow plugs and strong batteries. Not sure if the 236 (?) is similar. Had a few surprises that come with sitting a long time (like a dead bird behind the fuel tank baffle), but nothing very taxing. Good luck! Sam.
