If you take the three bolts out that hold the top cover on you should be able to pull the top and spool out together. on the underside of the top are two nuts with a notch in them, this fits into a raised area on the underside of the top. The nuts adjust the spools ability to center. You should be able check the adjustment by removing the hoses and looking in each port to check the centering of the spool.
