Sort of depends on where your talking about. The tranny/rear end are the same houseing, then theres a dry area where the brakes are and if theres water there its no big deal. Then on the out side theres the bull gears and theres oil in that area. As far as how much oil I don't remember for sure. We redid all the seals, clutch, and painted up a cub a couple years ago. Thats also the reason I know all this. Theres seals both in the outer area and the tranny/rear end area to keep water out and oil in
