Lifter Arm?

I was digging in the barn for pieces to my Super A and found this. It matches up to the length for the "lifter arm" on the farmall 140's but a little differant shape. Length is 4'7" not considering the bends. Looks to me like it would fit on the left hand side of the tractor on the inside "lifter arm" that comes off the "hydraulic box" then fit in the top section of the rocker arms. So if I am guessing right is the bend correct or has it been bent? Was there suppose to be a sping or something else there? Looks like there should have been something between the front end in the picture and the collar thats about four inches from there, maybe a spring goes there? http://www.tractorshed.com/gallery/pieces/v3796.jpg
