Well, I guess it's just never easy, but the head studs are finally out of the block. I had tried everything you guys suggested, and that I'd read in other posts, but wasn't having much luck. Two are still in the block, broken below the surface. Don't know if I'll try to get them out, or let the shop do it when I take the block, head, and crank in. I'm leaning towards letting them, considering my luck so far. But anyway, what I ended up doing was to heat the area below the studs, from inside the water panel. First try it worked. Wished I would have tried this before loosing two. But at least they're out and I can move on. They were in the way of the base of the sleeve puller, so now all the sleeves are out too. And Ken, I'll be getting your sleeve puller out to your son's friends place today or tomorrow. Thanks a ton. Appreciate all your help everyone, too many of you to list. I'm sure I'll be needing more in the future. Brian
