The touch control on my 59 Cub locked in up position and when I disassembled it I found the oil strainer was sucked together and had holes in it. I must be using too heavy of oil for winter use. I am guessing a particle of debris got in control valve and kept it from releasing. The piston was out farther than it is supposed to go. The control valve did not respond to the operating lever. Does anyone have a good used strainer out there?
