I've Had 3 hrs to think on this. I do not know where the valve is located. With that in mind, I would heat the material around the valve with a propane torch, moving the flame a lot to keep it even, Then I would use some (don't laugh) wart freezing product from the drug store to chill the spool. If it has a stub on the end, I would use a needle nosed visegrip to grab it and put some outward removing force on it. (it probably can't move any farther in because it is stuck in. Good luck, and let us know the outcome. JimN
