I have an ealy 1939 M that I am going to restore and looking for opionions as to what I should do. My transition case is patched just below the bull gear and also have the new style lower shaft to drive the PTO. My options are 1. Raplace the whole transmion with one I have from a 1940 and change axle houseings, cover and bell houseing 2. take all the guts out of the 1940 transmition and put them in anther 1939 case I just bought 3 take the guts out of the 1939 and finding the right shaft and installing in the uncracked case all of this is alot of work, just wondering if this was your tractor wich way you would lean tward going. This tractor is all correct and complete with all the right 1939 stuff thanks Paul
