FAA = Farmall A FAB = Farmall B FBH = Farmall H FBK = Farmall M I think the A and B in the middle have to do with "frame styles." Notice both "A" types are frameless tractors with external final drives, while the "B" types have full frames and internal final drives. The A and B may stand for something, or they might be arbitrary designations. The REAL mystery is why the M is "FBK" instead of "FBM." I have a theory that the M was originally going to be called the K, but they changed their minds at the last minute. Changing decals was a lot easier than changing serial tags.
