When i bought this tractor I knew this was bad. I have been holding my breath hoping it didn't fall off while I was using tractor. I am done with field work for a few days and have the new tierod end from IH (the long one without threads and only slotted holes for clamp and bolt as it is adj. front axle). The previous owner knew it was bad too as there are pipe wrench marks on the outer tube where it looks like he tried to pull apart and failed. I am afraid that when I try to free tierod end from tube that it is going to be "major" seized up. i am thinking I will probably have to apply heat to the tube and twist and pull to separate. Anyboby else had this problem and have a different method than what I am describing.
