Greg: The IT manual calls for .014, both intake and exhaust for all C-123 engines. I found I had to adjust my exhaust valves on 140 .016 to .018. That may have something to do with the condition of the engine. However at .014 the exhaust valves were not closing. I noticed the specs on the C135 engine call for .014 intake and .020 exhaust. I played with exhaust valve setting until it stopped poofing. That seem to be in the .016 to .018 range. That was 3 years ago and it still works fine. Not quite sure why, as my Super A and 130 work fine at .014 for both.
