Just thinking back a little...When I was in high school I worked on the school farm. They had a 450 with a loader on it. It got used PLENTY! The tractor functioned fine except it would not free wheel backwards in low TA. It did not matter if the loader were pushed hard into a pile and the front end were off the ground, the tractor would not move back at all. I don't remember there being any problem getting it out of reverse. Anyone know what the problem was? It wasn't too long after that and the good old 450 was traded off. This farm was at a boarding school where labor was easy to come by and they were able to get the job done with some pretty small machinery...at times running around the clock. A pretty cool/cost effective operation! Glenn F.
