I just want to say thanks to all of you. I've had Farmall fever ever since I was a kid hauling hay with my Dad's H. We ended up selling our farm in the 80's. I've missed that fleet of Farmall's dearly ever since. Last year, after my Mom passed away at a very young age, I thought that it might be fun to start rebuilding our fleet of tractors again, if for no other reason than to spend quality time with my Dad and brother. So I started out with this web-site as a resource for restoration. I've probably read every post on this site. I laid my hands on a 53 Stage 1 Super H for $500.00. Didn't run, but was loose. I figured it had potential. Went through fuel, spark and narrowed down the problem to the carb. I learned how to rebuild the carb just by reading info from all of you. Yesterday, I finished rebuilding the carb. Adjusted the float, reconnected it and to my amazement, and I do mean amazement, it fired right up! Went for my first joy ride in 19 degree weather (central MN) and brought it back to start the fine tuning process. It sure brings back a lot of pleasant memories, hearing that engine run. Thanks again.
